26°41′N 85°10′E / 26.68°N 85.17°E / 26.68; 85.17.[1] It has an average elevation of 55 metres (180 feet). Its boundary touches with Nepal, sitamari, sheohar.

Demographics

As of 2001 India census,[2] Dhaka had a population of 32,618. Males constitute 53% of the population and females 47%. Dhaka has an average literacy rate of 38%, lower than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 47% and, female literacy is 28%. In Dhaka, 20% of the population is under 6 years of age.

Politics

Dhaka is part of Sheohar Parliamentary Constituency and is itself an Assembly Constituency. Leaders like Late Ram Dulari Sinha,[3] Late Thakur Jugal Kishore Sinha and Late Motiur Rahman had represented this assembly constituency. Senior Congress Leader Madhurendra Kumar Singh and Motiur Rehman worked together towards the development of Dhaka and Motiur Rehman helped Madhurendra Kumar Singh in the Parliament elections in 1989. Later Motiur Rehman quit Congress Party and joined R.J.D. Motiur Rehman was very closely associated with Madhurendra Kumar Singh.

Education

In Dhaka there are several schools, among them STPS School is one which is on CBSE based, whose Director is Vikash Gaurav and the founder is Subhash Gaurav, It is 15-year-old institute.
Government High School, middle School is also there. The percentage of education is increasing in Dhaka day by day due to these institutes. Most of the students do their 10th from High School Dhaka, a government school following BSEB (Bihar school Examination Board) curriculum. There are other high schools also in nearby villages, namely Khairwa,Maulana Azad Urdu High School Khairwa, Bhandar, Bakhari, Patahi, Kundwa Chainpur, Patahi. Khairwa high school is most notable high school in dhaka area. Except for Patahi where there is a separate girls' school, all the high schools are co-ed. For primary education till class 7th, government primary and middle schools in villages covers the majority. Recently two CBSE schools Delhi Public School, and Vidyapati Public School[4] started providing CBSE curriculum.
